“A Song For April” is an instrumental with guitar, orchestra and bagpipes written for five year old April Jones from Wales
who disappeared in October 2012. Originally, it was a song of hope before it was found that she’d been murdered
(my own daughter was 9 at the time).
“A Walk By The Seaside” inspired by a walk along the seafront in Redcar, Yorkshire. “Bones”, for a friend in South Africa.
“The Final Sunrise” – I wrote this after reading a story about the destruction of wetland habitats for migrating birds.
Followed by an article about “Bycatch” – the killing of sealife by our destructive fishing methods.
“Set Me Free” is a song I wrote during my first winter in Beauly, northern Scotland always dark and dreich.
“It Gets Better” – a song of hope amidst the huge homeless problem in London, UK.
After watching Athens, OH singer songwriter Megan Bee perform at LEO Coffeehouse in Cincinnati, I was inspired to write “My Reverie”.
