Inspired by the events, the shows, the sessions, the people that I have met online since COVID closed down all of the live venues…
What a great experience learning about ZOOM – who would have thought?
The title track, “Song Time” inspired by Mr Ric Page from Massachusetts, is all about singing online.
“Sunday Afternoon Outdoors” written in my small Ohio backyard trying to inspire me to face the lockdown in a positive light;
“Robin Redbreast” for the two birds that built their nest on my garage security light; “A Cold Wind” – my response
to the crazy events in Washington DC on 6 January 2021; “The Bounty of The Harvest” written as a challenge for Northwich
Folk Club’s October session themed The Harvest; “Alive” – another positive song written in my backyard;
“The Legend of Bronco Brad” written for the comedian I met online in California though he is from New York!
And “A Good Chardonnay” about quarantine and lockdown. “Happy Haunted Halloween” for all you “kids” out there; “Michael”
about 4 Cincinnati friends called Michael.
Most importantly, a song that needs special mention by my friend Fiona Tozer from Kwa-Zulu Natal in South Africa
called “Neverland” – one of the best original songs by someone I know.
